Adobe Lightroom Classic Survey View Mode

Survey View Mode

Product:  Adobe Lightroom Classic  |   Subject: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic

In this exercise, we will learn about Adobe Lightroom Classic Survey View Mode.

In this section, I want to talk to you a little bit about the survey mode of viewing your photos in the Lightroom catalog. The survey mode is just one way or a different way to look at what images you have in your catalog. The best way to achieve this is to select several different photos. I'm going to do this by choosing a picture by holding the Ctrl key on my Windows keyboard and just randomly clicking a variety of photos that I want to take a look at, then I'm going to go down here or use the N key and click on the survey view. So this is what it's going to show me.

It's going to show me all of the photos that I have selected. Now, of course, with the survey view, you can always use the tab keys; you can use the Shift + Tab keys, full screen, lights out, or a variety of different ways to make use of the survey view. Survey view allows you to take a look at groups of photos. Now let me get back to the main one. What I'm going to show you is the survey view right here is if you go down into the filmstrip, and you hold down the Ctrl key and select another photo, it'll add more photos that you want to view within your survey. So let me show you what that looks like with light. So I'm just going to add more photos. You see that I can unselect certain photos, add more photos, and keep doing that, to give you a better idea of the kinds of things I'm doing here.

So the survey view allows you to view a group of photos and enable you to view it, so that makes sense for you. For example, suppose you want to survey cyclists or people who are not just at the park. In that case, the lady is moving on a bike. The fellow is breakdancing in different ways or different views; you can look at it using the survey view to understand better what kind of images you want to work on or that you want to show to your client. Or you want to spend time on and enjoy the view.

To recap, the survey mode is at the bottom. You can either select the view by using the N key or clicking on its icon. The N key will take you to the survey view. And if you click it again, it'll take you to the previous view and, in this case, was the grid view. I hope this has helped me have a server view to have that kind of approach to sorting all of your images. If you do have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out take care of yourself. Have a beautiful day, and I'll see you in the next video. Bye for now.
