In this exercise, we will learn about Civil 3D Survey Figure Styles.

3.3.3        Figure Styles

The next display option we can control is the styles of points and figures. When imported from a survey data file, lines are created as Figures, and the Figure Style controls their line styles.

1. Figure styles are found in the Survey section of the Settings tab. In the Figures section of the tree, we have a list of Figure Styles we have already defined and can edit to customize them to our preference. Let's look at the figure style of the Fences, for example.

2. The figure style defines how the figures should be displayed. It controls parameters such as the line color, weight, type, and so on. We can edit all the appearance-related parameters from the Display tab of the Figure style editor. We have extensively covered how to edit Styles and Labels in the Level 2 Course, which you can refer to for more details.

3. Let's click OK to close the Figure Styles window.
